We are excited to announce that our blueberry PLUS has successfully achieved the prestigious Eichrecht certification.

Eichrecht is a German standard that requires that all components involved in the collection and processing of energy operate in a trustworthy and transparent way. Its aim is to ensure transparent measurement and billing of energy dispensed from EV charging stations to electric cars offering consumers total visibility on the amount of energy they are paying for. Both the hardware and software components of the charging infrastructure must provide a solution that accurately measures energy and only invoiced consumers for the kWh energy they use and provides consumers with the ability to verify that their invoice is accurate, ensuring they were invoiced for the correct amount of energy, and data from the charging station was not modified by a third party. 

To meet these requirements, blueberry has a certified energy meter which correctly measures the kWh energy used and displays this value to consumers, in its 32” touchscreen. The blueberry encrypts this information before sending it to other systems, to prevent third parties from changing the data. In addition, blueberry also have a unique public key  in a QR code, through which the consumer can verify the meter value, using an independent web/app/IT interface (Transparenz software by S.A.F.E Initiative) that is in accordance with the Eichrecht legislation. This ensures that the EV driver can reliably check how much electricity consumed at what time.
